MWG is an app I designed for managing workers who are mobile and work in well defined locations doing predictable tasks. The workers carry mobile devices (smartphones) that provide security by using employee ID linked to the device ID, and fortified with biometric information (fingerprint readers). Management dashboards create input about employee assignments per ID and monitor work progress in real time. Augmented Reality signage provides targeted instructions for workers in exact locations, and provide two-way messaging feedback tied to GPS coordinates. MWG can be applied to many industries, but I am starting by covering the use cases in Facilities Maintenance and Healthcare Personnel.
Use Case 1:
Facilities
Maintenance personnel
Employees can use GPS maps to navigate to the right building
in large campuses, then use wireless beacons to accurately navigate indoors. AR
signage can provide accurate location based instructions anywhere on the
campus. Photos or videos can be taken by the employees to convey visual
feedback of environment that is the subject of the assignment.
Use Case 2:
Healthcare personnel
In healthcare applications, patient names are validated in
rooms by bar code or QR code reading software on the mobile devices, reading
patient wristbands.
Patient charts may be accessed with additional security
